This is Kiban pooping. While this one was induced, later in the day he pooed seemingly on his own after a very satisfying feeding time with mommy.

Fricken Tape's Off!!

Phew, that was a long time in waiting, but finally Kiban got some relief from the face tape that had annoyed him for so long. He tears at his oxygen tubes less now.

On the 10th Kiban received an enema to help him poo. As a result he pooed over 75g! Alot for a tiny guy. But there was still more left and his tummy was not comfortable. So another nice nurse gave Kiban a professional stomach massage.

Little Kiban hasn't managed to master the art of pooing yet, and this is keeping him on a really limited diet. So mommy is trying to give him a little helping hand.

This series of images was taken on July 28th, 4 days after Kiban began being fed little bits of milk through a cup. Obviously he is not satisfied with the means of transmission.

Now Kiban is still on 5ccs of mother's milk or "moyu" per feeding, drinking between 4 and 8 times a day depending on his appetite and digestive abilities.
